Anne-Marie has over 25 years’ experience in sustainable matters and is Director of ecoreflect ltd. She gave the Royal Academy of Engineering invited lecture on ‘A low carbon world – is it realistic?’ in April 2010. And was awarded BSI International Standards Maker Award in 2015 for her standard work. She is an experienced chair and facilitator with involvement across several types of organisations/groups both at national and international level. Her current activities includes chairing BSI committees related to sustainable development and conformity assessment standards, chairing the project board for a novel approach to harnessing waves in support of coral regrowth, being an active board director of the Verified Carbon Standard including chairing the finance committee and attending IMO Marine Environmental Protection Committee. She is a chartered engineer, chartered environmentalist and a fellow of Royal Society for the encouragement of art, manufacture and commerce, Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, Energy Institute and Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.

Dr. Giulia Guerriero received her Ph.D. at the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, where she is currently Professor of Comparative Anatomy and Cytology and Chairman of the Comparative Endocrinology Laboratory and on the Advisory Board for the Center for Environmental Research. She performed Ph.D. work at the Dept. of Pharmacology, Thomas Jefferson University. Phila, PA; Dept. of Ob/Gyn, University of Illinois., Chicago, IL; Dept. of Physiology, Oregon Health Sciences Univ. Portland Oregon, (USA). Her research efforts have focused on the correlation between oxidants and antioxidants in physiological defenses; on the role of steroid receptors in reproduction and on the importance of barcoding in the evaluation of species-specific molecular responses. She is currently conducting research on reproductive health effects of environmental pollution, climate change, sustainable economies and fisheries, and resilient systems. She has served in several working groups and technical committees and, as unit coordinator, in national (PRIN) and international (LIFE) projects. She has organized and participated in international conferences. She has published in relevant refereed international journals. She is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editor of several international journals. Further, she is a reviewer of international journal conference papers, books, research thesis, national and international research proposals as well as a BIES external examiner for UNESCO. She is a member of national and international scientific societies and of the barcodingitaly consortium. Since 2011 she is a representative of bilateral agreements between Federico II University and universities and research centers in Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Malaysia and Japan.

He has been Director General of Science and Technology of Ecuador, PAHO / WHO consultant, UNESCO, OPEC, OLADE. He is currently the ecuadorian focal point of the Panamerican Network of Academies of Science (IANAS) Energy Group and he is a associated researcher in the Water and Soils Management Program (PROMAS) at University of Cuenca, Ecuador.

Dr. Ole Hertel expertise is within assessment of human exposure to air pollution and assessment of atmospheric nutrient loadings on nature applying integrated monitoring assessment (combined use of measurements and model calculations); this was the topic of his higher doctoral degree. He was working with personal exposure monitoring (PEM) and he was deeply involved in testing and applying low-cost sensors and passive samplers for PEM. He was a modeler by training and had played a key role in the development of the Operational Street Pollution Model (OSPM); a model that is now applied in more than 20 countries around the world. He took part in the development of the Eulerian Backward Ierative (EBI) method for solving chemistry in chemistry-transport models (CTMs) used by the US-EPA as their standard method. In his PhD project he had developed a Lagrangian chemistry-transport model for studying atmospheric degradation of biogenic Sulphur compounds in the atmosphere. Parts of this model were later used for developing a model for atmospheric deposition to nature (ACDEP – atmospheric chemistry and deposition model) that for 10 years was applied for mapping Nitrogen and Sulphur deposition to Danish nature.

Ahmed T. Tawfik hold a PhD in Science – chemistry. He has his diverse experiences in chemistry, environmental control and treatment. He had worked in Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency since 2000 as environmental researcher and have several papers in environmental treatment and green chemistry. Ahmed has established environmental system management for several organizations to implement, monitor and control the environmental aspect and environmental impact in Egypt and UAE. Dr Ahmed has received many appreciation awards from Egyptian minister and UAE ministers.

Dr. N. K. Sharma has worked as Zonal Director Research, Additional Director Research (Seeds/ Administration) and Officer on Special Duty and Technical Advisor to Vice Chancellor. Presently, he is working as Director, Institute of Agri Business Management, Swami Keshwanand Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner Dr. Sharma has published 51 research papers, 4 books, 3 book chapters, 12 bulletins, 21 proceeding papers, 22 leaflet/folders and 10 technical articles.

Olga S. Naymushina is a senior staff scientist at the Sobolev Institute of Geology and Mineralogy SB RAS (Novosibirsk). She has completed her PhD in geochemistry of organic reach groundwater in 2014. She has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals. She is a head of the project of Russian Science Foundation named "Immobilization of heavy metals by natural and modified biosorbents".

Xi Lu, Associate Professor in School of Environment, Tsinghua University. Dr. Lu received his PhD in John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University in 2010. After then, he continued in working at Harvard as a postdoctoral fellow, research associate and lecturer until joining Tsinghua in 2015. His research interests emphasize study of the technical, economic, and environmental dimensions of low or zero carbon energy sources as a means to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases (GHGs) and air pollutants. His primary research area concentrates on modeling complex systems of renewable energy, environment and climate including resource assessment for wind and solar power, complementary effects of wind, solar and hydro power and the benefits for gird integration, energy storage, emission inventory of GHGs and air pollutants, as well as urbanization and energy systems. He published papers in Science, PNAS, Nature Energy, Environmental Science & Technology and Energy Policy on these topics. He won the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad in 2010, was selected in the One Thousand Program for Young Professionals in 2015, and won the Outstanding Youth Award of National Natural Science Foundation in 2017

His current research interests include: (1) options to mitigate variations of wind power and solar power, and their complementary effects; (2)interactions between development of meteorology-driven renewables and climate change; and (3) challenges and opportunities for low-carbon electric power systems in both China and the U.S.

Dr. Gilbert C. Sigua is a Research Soil Scientist at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Center Coastal Plains Soils, Water and Plant Research Center, Florence, South Carolina, USA. He received his undergraduate degree in Soil Science from Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Philippines, Master of Science degree from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA.

The focus of Dr. Sigua’s research program is improved soils and water resource sustainability, plant nutrient/water use efficiency, crop productivity, water/nutrient management systems, plant-soil-microbe interactions and soil health enhancement. He works collaboratively with other ARS units, Soil and Water Conservation Districts, universities, the Natural Resources and Conservation Service (NRCS), Farm Services Administration, farmers, industrial/commodity partners and worldwide network of researchers and scientists. Throughout his career, Dr. Sigua has consistently demonstrated outstanding originality and creativity for finding solutions to complex agricultural problems by conceiving and successfully conducting research projects in multifaceted scientific areas and diverse project management on protection, soil fertility management and sustainability of natural resources and water resources systems in the USA and other countries such as Brazil, Japan, Cambodia, Ethiopia and the Philippines. Dr. Sigua’s scholarly achievements, expertise and professional status have been widely recognized through numerous national and international honors and awards. As a testimony to this, he was recently awarded major awards, to wit: (a) Fellow of American Society of Agronomy; (b) William F. Fulbright Fellow; (c) Japan Society for Promotion of Science Fellow; (d) Department of Science and Technology “Balik Scientist” Fellow, Philippines; (e) Fellow of Soil Science Society of America; and (f) “Gintong Butil” (Golden Grain) Award for Science and Technology, CLSU Alumni. His professional activities have resulted in over 175 scientific publications. He served on various committees for the Agronomy Society of America, Soil Science Society of America, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and for the USDA-NRCS

Dr. Adel A. Ismail is is a Research Scientist in Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Program, EBRC at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, KISR. He joined KISR two years ago. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Ain Shams University in 2001, Cairo, Egypt. Ismail carried out postdoctoral research at University of Florida at Material Science department, USA (2003), National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science & Technology, Sendai, Japan (2005-2007), and Photocatalysis and Nanotechnology Research Unit at University Hannover (2008-2010). His research interests include design development porous photocatalysts and photocatalytic applications in destruction of organic compounds, hydrogen production, chemical engineering of photocatalytic processes, and self-cleaning. He has published more than 130 international scientific papers and his publications have been cited more than 4600 times with h-Index: 40. He is acted (or still acts) as project coordinator or project leader in many academic and industrial programs.
